Shay Bradley, We Salute You.
By all accounts, Dublin born Shay Bradley was a prankster his entire life, and he died one too. We’ve all been to funerals. They’re naturally sad, awkward affairs. But Shay saw it as an opportunity to pull off the greatest prank ever, and he did it in a big way.
As the bagpipes played and his casket lowered into its final resting place, while his family members and friends stood together, a banging came from below, followed by a “Hello?”.
DISCLAIMER: Even in death, Shay talks like a drunken sailor.
The grief-stricken mourners quickly realized they were in witness of Shay’s last prank (the jury is still out on that). The tears stopped, the smiles lifted, and Shay had everyone laughing at his funeral.
According to his wife, Shay recorded the message a year before he passed away, but she only found out about it when her son gave her a heads up the day before the funeral.
Here’s to Shay Bradley!
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in
the hollow of His hand.
